šŸš€ #4 - Newsletters? Why now? and Why 'Rocket Science'?

It's Not Rocket Science

šŸ‘‹ Hey Neil here,

You might be wondering why exactly I decided to take this newsletter seriously and invested in its rebranding and marketing of it.

And why now?

The truth is I already recognized the power of newsletters a few years ago, it’s what inspired me to launch and regularly publish the Linx Newsletter ā€˜Big Sauce’ for almost 5 years.

But till very recently, what I didn’t realize is how much room there is to make a greater impact through connection, vulnerability, and authenticity.

Even though Linx is my brand, and the Big Sauce newsletter is something built, they aren’t ME.

Ultimately, that’s what inspired this newsletter.

I wanted a channel where I could be myself and not be limited to the topics of paid ads. Where I could build an audience that cared about me and not just the next ad course I put out.

So why the ā€˜Rocket Science’ theme and branding?

Before I got into the world of digital advertising, I went to school and worked as an engineer.

The branding pays homage to my roots as an aerospace engineer (some people call them rocket scientists).

Why the name ā€œIt’s not Rocket Scienceā€?

Because I don't think you need to make business and personal growth complicated. In fact, both are simple.

However, as I have experienced, they do take a lot of time, focus, and dedication… in a lot of ways are very similar to rocket science.
